This Saturday, the Red Bull Flugtag will come to Baltimore's Inner Harbour, in front of the Maryland Science Center. How did I hear about this event? Well, I spend pretty much every Wednesday night there. The flying day, really isn't about flying. The teams will perform a skit before pushing/pulling/getting their craft off the flight deck, and ultimately not really flying. These crafts do not look like planes and therefore don't fly like planes. It's a good time and good to remember, two of the three judging criteria is creativity and presentation. There is no cost to attend the event, gates open at 11am and the first flight is at 1pm.
